Event Guidelines

1)     This event is an official points-paying Midwest VMX event and will operate according to club rules.  The event will NOT be AMA-sanctioned.  AMA membership is NOT required.  There is no cash purse for Expert or A-level riders.  Awards will be provided at the awards ceremony directly after the conclusion of racing.

2)    There will be a traditional gate fee for this event.  This will be a charge over and above the racing entry fees.  Entry fees are as follows: First class - $50 (includes one-day membership for insurance); each additional - $30.  There will be a $10/person gate fee.

4)     Heated indoor pits and indoor staging will be provided; however motorcycles should not be running inside the building unless they are on the track.  Warm-ups should be done outside prior to staging.  At no time will motorcycles be allowed to operate while pitting inside the building.  No gasoline or gas cans will be allowed inside the building.  All re-fueling must be done outside.  Portable heaters are not allowed in the building.  The building is equipped with a heating system and also a ventilation system for motorcycle exhaust.  Even though the building is heated; the colder it is outside - the colder it will be inside.  Please dress accordingly.  Plan to get cold.  Those of you that are indoor veterans know that you can't have too many clothes with you.

5)     All riders will be required to attend a mandatory riders’ meeting prior to the start of practice.

6)     Track will be reconfigured to accommodate older motorcycles.  While the major elements will be re-worked, the track will still be challenging and very technical.  It is up to the rider to use his/her judgment while on the track.  Vintage-class support entrants are welcome and will enter at their own risk. 

7)     Event will operate using the traditional two moto format.  There will be no qualifying for a main event through heat races.  Practice sessions will be held prior to the start of racing.  Practice details will be given at the riders’ meeting. (See item #5 above.)

8)     The Race Coordinator reserves the right to disqualify any competitor for rules violations, rules violations that go against the ‘spirit of competition’, or if the entrant’s motorcycle is deemed technically unsafe for competition.   

9)     Tentative raceday times are as follows:  Sign-up 3::00pm - 4:30pm; mandatory riders' meeting 4:30pm (practice to follow); racing starts 5:30pm sharp.

Facility is located east of I-39 - 1/2 mile south of U.S. 30 on IL Route 23 on the right-hand side.  (Track is in the rear of a pickle factory.)  Drive along the north side of the building and look for signs.
