Posted by Mitch W. on 7/8/2008, 6:52 pm 216.73.227.37 Mark your calendars for Sunday August 31st.
We've just added a special, one-of-a-kind vintage race to be located overlooking the Mississippi River at Sabula, IA on a private festival grounds. Layout will be a Euro-GP type, on grass, with elevation changes and off-cambers.
This event will NOT pay Series points...just daily awards with some special prizes.
Here's the catch...every major summer holiday finds a festival being held at this location. Rumor has it that Foghat, the remains of Lynyard Skynyard, and maybe even Head East may be headlining on the outdoor stage. The owner/promoter is an old bike nut and would like to see some vintage racing added to his program...he wants us there!
We'll compress our class structure for the event and maybe try some new stuff. (Like maybe 30-minute motos?) I have some corporate sponsors in the wings and the press we get from this will be huge.
Live music in a pasture = Woodstock. Racing motorcycles = moto. The net result is Motostock!!!
Make plans to attend Motostock. IT WILL BE UNLIKE ANYTHING YOU'VE EVER ATTENDED.
More info later... | FROM MITCH! |
